Thou shalt not defend thyself

There is an article in today's 'Haaretz" that is actually ridiculously funny. Under the headline 'Russian arms sales could help Iran obliterate Israel', an envoy from the Israeli "Defence" Ministry, a certain Amos Gilad, is quoted as saying, "The deliveries of dangerous armaments to our enemies won't serve the interests of peace and, for instance, can help Iran wipe Israel off the face of earth."(1) This strange deluded man, whose employer should be more appropriately named War Ministry and whose country has not even defined its borders yet, actually has the audacity to say that the Russians delivering armaments to Iran won't serve the interests of peace. The "weapons" in question are Russian S-300 air defence missiles, which the Israelis themselves say would make any possible Israeli attack on Iran more difficult.(2) Maybe I miss the point but would this not imply that the Russians are actually serving the interests of peace if they sell these defensive weapons to Iran and maybe I further miss the point but hasn't the United States been delivering offensive hardware to the Zionists since 1966 when L.B. Johnson's administration sold them four-dozen Skyhawk bomber attack planes and more than 200 M-48 just in time for the "seven days war" a war that culminated in an illegal forty year occupation of the West Bank and Gaza. Oh and was the IAF dropping defensive bombs on civilian targets in the Lebanon in 2006 and maybe we should forgive them their defensive cluster bombs? Of course, it really is absurd that we are confronted with nonsense like this. However, the Zionists are leaving nothing to chance, there will be no level battlefield and even now the spectre of their bloody nose in the Lebanon despite their massive superiority in terms of firepower appears to be haunting them, with that other Barak, the Israeli Defence Minister, Ehud Barak, quoted yesterday saying, "If it (Iran) built even a primitive nuclear weapon like the type that destroyed Hiroshima, Iran would not hesitate to load it on a ship, arm it with a detonator operated by GPS and sail it into a vital port on the east coast of North America."(3) It is, of course, a ridiculously absurd scenario although if it were come true, at least young American GIs would know they were, at least, be dying in any resulting confrontation between the United States and Iran, in a war that was theirs to fight. However, the ridiculously silly scenario won't happen and it is only another piece of pathetic propoganda in the Zionists attempt to manufacture a confrontation to serve their own megalomaniacal egoistical ambitions. Not only do they not fight against countries that can but up a stern defence but the evidence would seem to suggest that they also are no longer capable of fighting their own battles.
A little footnote to finish on and I was just wondering if the Russians know who trained and armed mad Mikheil Saakashvili's forces in the run up to their little adventure in South Ossetien? However, I am sure they do and maybe, just maybe, Teheran will get its S-300 air defence missiles.
