Giving Something for Nothing

Apparently George Bush wants to know why the Israelis might be giving back the Golan Heights for nothing.(1) Now, the Israelis, we know, never "give" anything for nothing and, indeed, there is invariably method in their madness. The pull out from Gaza in 2005 allowed them to fabricate an enemy state on their front doorstep and now they can declare a state of war with Gaza and being at war, they can close the border, ban reporters and everything else from entering Gaza and slowly strangle the population; men, women and children. Don't worry George, Israel will know why it is "giving" the Golan Heights back for nothing. However, did it ever occur to you George that they are not "giving" anything. It is not theirs to give. Of course, George has probably never heard of UN Resolution 242 and he has most certainly not heard of Resolution 194 but then George, himself, never was much of one for paying attention to international law. Granted, the problem is not George and with Barack "Hope" Obama on the horizon I am reminded of a little joke: What happens when the pope dies? Up "popes" another one and in a couple of years we will no doubt hear the "hope and change" man asking the Israelis why they are dismanteling an illegal settlement in the West Bank with nothing in return. Would it ever dawn on these cretins, and I am afraid that term applies also to Barack, a man with an obviously very high IQ, that "illegal" means exactly that and that you cannot "give" something that doesn't belong to you. What you are doing is, you are returning it to its rightful owner.
