One would always have to suspect the motives behind anything the 'Jerusalem Post' writes. Perhaps, in the particular report I am going to write about it is just one little contribution to whup up the spectre of rampant anti-semitism before Israel takes the "necessary precautions" and delivers a preemptive nuclear strike against Iran. Let us move onto the story!
Apparently a New Jersey supermarket has refused to decorate a little boy's birthday cake with his full name and the parents are upset and, no doubt, you would all be upset if you had a child and a shop refused to decorate his or her name on their birthday cake. Nevertheless, I would have to confess that, at least, a few eyebrows would also have been raised at bakeries here in Germany and why? Well, the kid's name just happens to be Adolf Hitler Campbell and there we have daddy, Heath Campbell saying in an interview that "people should look forward, not back, and accept change," while adding, "They need to accept a name. A name's a name. The kid isn't going to grow up and do what (Hitler) did."(1) No, Heath the world is always going to be a trifle suspicious of anyone with political ambitious who is called Hitler, now if you had called him "George W Bush Campell" or "Ariel Sharon Campbell" you might, at least have left a career in politics open to him and I am sorry Heath but your daughter, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell, is also not going to get into the senate.
Alright I have got my suspicions as to why a rag like the 'Jerusalem Post' would run this story. However, there are other, more bona fide, reasons for me picking up on it and, I believe, for the 'Jerusalem Post' writing it, away from the argument that it might be used to facilate the Zionists' geopolitical ambtions. Despite Mr Heath Campbell saying, "about 12 people attended the birthday party on Sunday, including several children who were of mixed race,"(2) a variation of the old "some of my best friends are Pakis" story, this man is either a raving Nazi or not quite the full shilling, or both as is invariably the case and the fact that he wore a pair of jackboots that were worn by a German soldier during World War II is not going help his case when it comes to arguing otherwise. Nevertheless, the real problem is that this is the corner that the Zionists would like to force all of its critics into and everyone who criticises the state of Israel is either a raving anti-semitic, a dangerous lunatic or both. Of course, that doesn't wash and really, apart from anything else, John Pilger, Norman Finkelstein, Naom Chomsky, Ilan Pappe, Rashid Khalidi, Uri Avnery, Jonathan Cook, myself, and millions and millions and even billions of others, have the right to find it offensive to be compared to the Mr Heath Campbells of this world.
Now did I ever tell you the little story about the bakery that refused to decorate a cake with the name "Ehud Olmert" on it?
