Who do these people think they are kidding? It really is a bit of a farce, isn't it? We have today's 'New York Times' reporting how Hillary Rodman Clinton is planning to widen the role of the State Department(1) and the latest news is that Obama has just nominated Jacob J Lew and James Steinberg as Deputy Secretaries of State under Clinton.(2) With Dennis Ross, the chairman of the new Jerusalem based think tank, the 'Jewish People Policy Planning Institute', which is funded by the Jewish Agency and Martin Indyk, a former ambassador to Israel, AIPAC's former deputy director of research, and the current director of the pro-Israel think-tank, the 'Saban Center for Middle East Policy', both having their names mentioned as possible special envoys to the Middle East along with, a man who really does have an "interesting" history, my old "friend" Richard C Holbrooke, the mind really does boggle. Who do these people think they are kidding? Or as Abraham Lincoln said, "You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time."
